Why is a unit/activity restricted?

In your course you may find a unit or activity that is restricted.  This is to ensure that the unit or activity is not accessed before certain conditions have been met. 

For example, a unit may be contingent on another unit being completed.  To ensure you have the correct knowledge before attempting it the restriction prevents pre-mature access to the unit or activity it has been restricted.

Once the condition(s) have been met, the restriction will automatically lift and access granted.
